My Story

My Story

A Journey Built on Education, Mentorship and Purpose.

From growing up in a family devoted to healthcare to international fellowship training and academic leadership, my career has been guided by one belief: medicine is not only about treating patients—it is about building knowledge, mentoring future generations and advancing neurosurgery.

A Family Shaped by Healthcare

I was born in İzmir into a family dedicated to healthcare. My father was a physician who built a successful private medical practice, while my mother was a pharmacist.

From an early age I grew up surrounded by conversations about patients, responsibility, ethics and service.

Education, Opportunity and Vision

Part of my elementary education took place in Germany. Returning to Türkiye, I continued my education in İzmir, benefiting from educational opportunities envisioned by Mustafa Kemal Atatürk.

I consider myself one of the beneficiaries of a system that believed talent, discipline and education should create opportunity.

"Education creates opportunity. Mentorship creates purpose."

Building Programs, Not Just a Career

Returning to Türkiye, I carried with me not only technical expertise but also a vision. I helped establish functional neurosurgery programs, created a Gamma Knife service, trained residents and fellows, and served as Chairman of a Department of Neurosurgery.

My goal has never been simply to perform operations. My goal has been to build systems, train people and create opportunities for future generations.
